I have never been to a worse Fairfield Inn and I choose Marriott properties a lot. This is an old converted hotel or something. Poorly maintained, in a not so good section of town. I've been in better Motel 6s, and Motel 6 is my very last choice...

24 year old female with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
It was a disaster!!!
I got in at midnight, and althought I told them I was arriving at midnight and gave my credit number, my room was given away. Although I protested they told me I was just making their job harder than it needs to be.
Finally they were able to get me a room. That night a headboard fell on my friends head in the room.
I forgot to mention at check in when i visa would not swipe I told the front desk clerk to type it in. He looked at me like i was annoying him and basically told me that his job was hard enough and asked me if I had another card.
I had given them a voucher for the night, and they lost it and would not compensate me for it. When I approached the manager about it, he said that he was busy dealing with other stuff and that he had gotten in late. I mean it is not my problem if he got to work late!!
They also doubled the rate they had said on the phone to me when I got there. There was nothing I could do, I needed a place to stay.
