Far exceeded our expectations! – Posted Jul 29, 2007

Excellent

We just got back from a week at the Motel 6 in Bellingham and I wanted to let everyone know what a great experience it was. The reason we chose Motel 6 was the price, of course. But everything* and everyone was just wonderful, from Gayle and Janice...

Excellent
52 year old female with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure

We stayed for a week in late July 2007 and had an absolutely perfect visit. Clean room & bedding, friendly and helpful staff, clean heated pool, hot coffee everyday until 10 a.m. and everything worked (cable TV, room key card, lights, hot water, etc.) Because we had requested a room on the opposite side of the highway it was even very quiet. I would highly recommend the Motel 6 in Bellingham for anyone who is on a budget and doesn't need the frills that come with a high-priced motel.

Horrible
56 year old male with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure

This was the worst nights sleep I've ever attempted. First of all the 'clerk' talks to you thru bullet proof glass and types your drivers license number into his computer. He argued with me about giving me a 'senior' discount. The rooms are right on the highway so all night long you hear trucks rumbling by on I-5. The room's light switches didn't work, the tv remote didn't work, there was no shampoo, drinking glasses or any countertop in the bathroom. All this for only $60. I've stayed at other Motel 6's but nothing was as bad as this one. Oh yeah, the non smoking room had ashtrays. I realize its a budget hotel but they eliminated the trash can in the bathroom. How much more can they eliminate? Optional toilet paper?

Please stay elsewhere.

Horrible

The first room we were given had no towels or soap. The sink was very grimy and the beds were ruffled.

The next room we were given had the top of the toilet sitting in the shower. There was a waste basket full of water under the shower...
