When the add says "we'll leave the light on for you", they weren't kidding. Huge flood lights in the parking lot assaulted every window all night long...and the so called black out curtains were not up to it. The hall ways were also brightly lit at night and the poorly sized entry door allowed the light to glare in on all sides (remember the scene from Close Encounters?). They even had a blinking light on the smoke alarm in the middle of the ceiling..it was like Fairbanks in summer with the midnight sun!
The rooms were clean...but overly used. There was a strong smell of cleaning fluids in the rooms and the toilet seat had been scrubbed so often that the particle board base shone through the remnant of white enamel.
The room rate was minimal and so were the services. The room so small that it was barely big enough for the rock hard bed and T.V. shelf/desk. We were supplied with one set each of rather thin towels and two very small, very thin bars of very cheap soap....that's it.
Would we stay there again? Not unless our car broke down on the way to Las Vegas and we had to stay in Beatty overnight. And by the looks of the other motels in town, this is probably the safest bet.
