This registered national historic landmark has been renovated into a luxury boutique hotel which offers the coziness of a bed and breakfast, in an 18th century setting, combined with the luxuries of today. Each of the fifteen rooms is decorated with individual charm and remarkable attention to detail. As the only hotel in Center City Philadelphia with a private garden, we specialize in hosting small weddings, bar mitzvahs, corporate retreats, meetings and events of all kinds. We offer an extended continental breakfast each morning from 7:00a.m. - 10:00a.m. Hotel continental breakfast consists of a variety of fresh fruits, granola, and a delicious assortment of locally baked breads and pastries. An afternoon tea along with daily housemade gourmet cookies is served seven days per week in TWO DINNING ROOMS with original fireplaces. This smoke-free hotel also provides Wireless Internet access and Non-smoking rooms.

This is an unusual building, effectively a beautiful restored hotel which is ideal when you're so close to the historic part of the city. The room was large and comfortable and the bathroom fine although perhaps small in relation to the room itself. Breakfast was the usual bagels and cereal; and the staff were very pleasant and helpful, notably so for such a large city. The subway can be felt slightly but only occassionaly and it didn't bother us.
