Morningside Inn

I don't know who are writing these positive reviews, it is probably the hotel management themselves.

I stayed at Morningside for 5 months while doing an internship in NYC. Frequently, I saw the manager fighting and verbally abusing guests. I was too, even though I am in no way someone who looks for confronatation. Quite the opposite.

The hot water is off for long periods of the time. It works sometimes, other times it doesn't.

The main issue, other than the verbal abuse, is that the management will take your money and lie to your face about it. They will say they will give you a refund - but it's not true. They will charge you everything the day you arrive. Complaining or asking for you money back only makes it worse - trust me, I tried.

All in all - I'm far from a snob, but based on my experiences I would go somewhere else.

This place was excellent,the staff, the rooms and the location.The Manager always welcome us with a smile and hello when ever we walk through the door.this last review from a person who said the manager was verbally abusive was way off base.I never seen this man raise his voice nor get upset.I was there for three months on an internship program and I never heard a negative word about this man from any one in the hotel.

I have a question for the person who was there for five months,if it was so bad why stay there for five months??makes you think don't it.disgruntled customer...have a nice day!!

On the whole a very decent place. Very nice lobby. Good rooms well maintained. Reasonable rates. Manager pleasant and staff polite. Nice university neighborhood with convenient access to subway. Upstairs hallway rugs a little grungy and could be shampooed or replaced.

I recently stayed at the Morningside Inn for a week, and I must say I had a splendid time. The staff was excellent and very helpful, the front desk staff were very professional and helpful to my every needs. The housekeeping staff did an excellent job of making sure my room was cleaned on a daily basis. The neighborhood felt very safe and everything from the public transportation to good restaurants was close and affordable. The price for the room was very reasonable and affordable. I definitely recommend the Morningside inn I assure you that you will be satisfied with your stay.

I recently stayed at the Morningside inn for a week and I must say I had a splendid time. Everything was magnificent, The front desk staff were very helpful in my every need. The housekeeping staff did an excellent task of making sure that my room was cleaned everyday. Public transportation was very accessible and there are also many restaurants near by. The neighborhood is very safe. And the rooms are very comfortable and the prices are very affordable. I most certainly recommend the Morningside Inn. I sure enjoyed my stay and will be returning back soon
