Located in the center of Manhattan, this is an intimate and friendly hotel. With interiors created by a French designer this certainly has a 'chic' feel to it. The rooms are very comfortable with some specially comissioned artwork and photography on the walls, it makes for a stunning night's sleep! Morgans Bar is definately worth a look for the decor and crowd, as well as the very popular Asia de Cuba restaurant. The restaurant features a 30-foot long illuminated marble communal table and a 15-foot tall photo lightbox featuring a "running waterfall," as well as cozy living room areas with fireplaces. The staff are courteous and helpful and have obviously been well trained. Although more popular when it first opened, it's still a friendly place to stay.

The Morgans, a Morgans Original, centrally located in New York City, N. Y. just under 20 miles from La Guardia and JFK Airports, started the iconic boutique hotel trend in 1985. Morgans, a Morgans Original was designed by Andree Putman and is situated four blocks from the Empire State Building. The checkerboard lobby rug, inspired by vintage New York checker cabs, is an optical illusion repeated throughout this Manhattan hotel. The hotel's restaurant, Asia de Cuba, fuses Asian and Latino cuisine. The fourth floor Living Room is an exclusive lounge for guests, offering a wide selection of teas, coffee, CDs, books and other conveniences throughout the day. Guests can begin their mornings with complimentary continental breakfasts and enjoy room service until late evening. Morgans also features complimentary use of a nearby fitness center, concierge service, limousines and Town Cars, business services, currency exchange, dry cleaning, and child care. Guestrooms include rich fabrics of raw silk, brushed suede, cashmere and corded velvet. Original signed photographs by Robert Mapplethorpe hang on the walls. Black and white tiled bathrooms with pedestal sinks are nearly dizzying with visual appeal. The guestrooms also include refrigerators with in-room refreshments, custom window seats, down comforters and 330-thread count sheets, private cleaning, and private direct telephone numbers. Fax machines, portable telephones, CD players and computers are available upon request.

36 year old with a luxury budget, traveling for business
I have been staying at Morgans on and off for almost 20 years. The interior is just classic. The rooms are small but well appointed. If you need more space there is "the living room" on the 4th floor. Great for meetings. Asia de Cuba, the restaurant is tired and the scene is pretty ugly but it fits the bill for pretty good food without having to go far. Because otherwise you need to go far!
