34 year old with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
The Monterey Plaza Hotel is to be avoided if you value quiet and want to actually sleep. Many rooms are directly above the areas where parties such as weddings are held. For $470 per night, I listened to the loud bass of a wedding-related rock band all night. The front desk told me that if I could wait until midnight, it would be quiet by then. Thanks for nothing!
