If you love pretense, high prices, low service, great views, modest size rooms, you may have found the right place. How this place got 5 stars amazes me. 3 maybe , compared to a real 5 star hotel say in NY or Chicago or even LA

My husband and I stayed at the Plaza for our 15th wedding anniversary and had a wonderful time. The hotel was exactly the experience we were looking for. Everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful. I felt like a queen and the accommodations were luxurious. We had planned to eat out but decided to try the hotel restaurant instead. The service and food were fabulous. I am not really a fan of American cuisine but my dinner was fantastic. We ate at a local restaurant on the second night and it did not even compare. We reserved an ocean view room but next time we will pay the extra charge for a room with an ocean view balcony. I usually stay somewhere that offers frequent flyer miles but I will go back to the Plaza.
