Set in one of Northern California's scenic locations and perched on the water at the quiet end of historic Cannery Row, the Monterey Bay Inn is a unique ocean getaway in the middle of natural beauty and an area teeming with marine life. Combining sleek, stylish décor and a coastal setting in John Steinbeck country, the inn is close to the Monterey Bay Aquarium, Fisherman's Wharf, lively restaurants, eclectic shops and various recreational activities. Guests will stay seven miles from Carmel- by-the-Sea, six miles from Monterey Peninsula Airport, and 22 miles from Big Sur and the National Steinbeck Center. Guests can start their mornings out with complimentary breakfasts in their rooms and then get help from the hotel's staff on tours, wine-tastings and day trips. Although the Monterey Bay Inn skips on having its own restaurant, guests can find plenty of dining options close to the hotel. In addition to private balconies, the Monterey Bay's 47 guestrooms feature king-size beds, feather beds, CD players, coffeemakers and bathrobes. From their room balconies, guests can use binoculars provided by the inn to spot otters and whales romping in the ocean. The Monterey Bay Inn is the kind of place where vacationers will leave with the sounds of the surf echoing in their minds and the scent of invigorating ocean air tickling their nostrils. Guestrooms include in-room safes. Wireless high-speed Internet access is available for a fee.

Ocean views from the terrace, modern appointments and continental breakfast all make this a great place to stay. The staff is also attentive and helpful.

This hotel stay was perfect. From the time we checked in, to lounging in the rooftop jacuzzi before we checked out. The staff was very helpful with information on local attractions and restaurants. I mentioned on checkin that it was my birthday...

This might just be the best place to stay in Monterey -- you can't be the location, right on Cannery Row, with balconies overlooking the water (and the sea lions sunbathing on the rocks!) Our room was beautiful and the bed might have been the...

My wife and I took a one week drive up the beautiful California Coast. The first night of our trip we stayed at the Monterey Bay Inn. We enjoyed it so much that at the end of our week, we decided to drive back to Monterey and stay at the Inn again....

rude "floor desk manager", after I called regarding a $25 cancellation fee after 20 mins of the reservation, she didn't listen, I can't imagine if you complain about something during you stay. Don't go there

It was very nice, quiet and romantic. The roof jacuzzi was five star. I liked the self parking garage, without the bothersome bell boys, with no in and out tips or fees.
I am very likely
to return to the Monterey Bay Inn.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

We stayed at the Monterey Bay Inn for one night on a trip down the coast and had a very enjoyable time there. We thought the location on the water at the end of Cannery Row was very nice. We got a Partial Ocean/Bay view room, which I think is...

Excellent
My husband and I visited on a whim for our second anniversary. It was a great pick and recently remodeled (at the time): comfortable, plush beds, beautiful view on the sea side, and delicious breakfast in bed! ...can't wait to return.
