When we arrived at the Montage, we were met by a staff member who took us directly to the room and handled the registration there. We were in the room within 3 minutes of arriving in the hotel...

The hotel was gorgeous, the cuisine was excellent, and the staff was phenomenal (heavy emphasis on the staff attentiveness).
I am not the sort that needs the high-priced room and exquisite lodging, but this is really easy to get used to!! THE friendliest and most accommodating staff of any hotel I have ever visited. It puts the Ritz to shame.
Even for those without a bottomless wallet (like me), this is definitely a worthwhile destination to spoil yourself on one of those well-deserved special occasions like a honeymoon, anniversary, birthday, or for no reason at all.
This place could not be in a better location. Unlike the Ritz and the St. Regis which are way too far from the beach to walk to the Montage sits right on a cliff that is just steps away from the beach. The whole place is beautiful and I always get ...

Montage Rules. Luxury that you don't want to leave. Yet you feel like you are at home. Can't wait to go back next month. Room service pizza and beers by the fire pit overlooking the ocean was awesome.

27 year old female with a luxury budget, traveling for business
If you've ever watched the show Laguna Beach, you know that this area is known for having money. Well, that is all the more reason to come here, because with money you can afford the best. They have so many amenities here, that I can see you never having to leave for anything. So if you're looking to have a seriously romantic time with your love, this is one place I would run to.
The rooms were very clean and at night I left my windows open so I could fall asleep to the sounds of the ocean (forget those machines, the real thing is much better). And don't worry about which room you can see the ocean from, all of the rooms have an ocean view and a balcony to enjoy it from.
I even tried the spa myself, and being a massage therapist myself, it is top notch. If you're paying for the services, they are quite expensive, but if you're staying here, I am sure money is not an issue.
I am very likely
to return to the Montage Laguna Beach.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.
