In 2006, I was the one good review. We have stayed there several times and have recommended it to family and friends. Sadly, not again after last stay. Location is great, but rooms (we had two) were dirty and smelly. Pillows and bed spreads...

Good
We had a delightful room with a nice fireplace and covered parking beneath the motel. The room was clean, comfortable and had a balcony. Buffet breakfast was good, but location could be a noise problem for nearby rooms. Management was unresponsive...

After reading the other reviews I was fearful of staying at this location My experience was 100% pleasant, with no surprises. Wine, cheese and cookies were available when I arrived. The lobby is small, but it has clean and not cluttered. The staff...

These accommodations were grossly misrepresented on their website. This was no resort. They only had a poorly maintained pool. The photos on the website showed brightly lit updated decor. Actually this place was dark and dingy. The sheers in the 4 rooms I was shown had what looked like tea stains on them. The bedding was unclean looking and of assorted print material that could camouflage lack of freshness. Insects were stuck to pictures on the wall in the main hall and I saw silverfish (insects) on the wall in one of the rooms. We left after about 20 minutes without unpacking the car. We were charged $178.20 because we had not cancelled our reservation 3 days in advance. Being charged for these unfit accommodations is very predatory. We expected to stay there for the bulk of our vacation. They could not provide us with what they advertised on their website. They had no other cars in the parking lot when we arrived and I even heard employee/manager talking about how they were not busy this week. Therefore, my cancellation did not interfere with their chance to rent the room. When I contacted Best Western I was told because each motel is independently owned they would file a claim and fine the motel $75 if the claim was not responded to. Needless to say the motel did not respond. Why should they? I paid the fine by being charged $178.20. Nowhere in the parking lot could we get a cell phone signal for any of our 4 phones to try to get accommodations anywhere else. The accommodations were so unacceptable we had no choice but to leave, paying the $178.20, and not knowing if and where we could get any accommodations.

This Best Western is probably typical of older Best Westerns.
The rooms are so-so, the comforters feel terrible but step outside and it's a great location. We were with some friends who had an inside track on where the locals go to view the monarch butterflies. The location couldn't be beat.
If you just need a place to sleep and will not be in your room much then this is OK. It was quite noisy when were there, but you get what you pay for.
Iv'e seen better amenities at Motel 6. The people are monsterous looking with similar attitudes. The rooms are old and moldey with corrosion surrounding. The continetal breakfast is a joke. Almost nill. Orange Juice runny and the coffee weak ....
