We recently stayed here as we had early flight.
The lobby looks nice, and they have an excellent bar and bar staff. The rooms are all very plain and "plasticky" like most big hotel chains. I couldn't get the shower working due to a nut coming off the pull-handle. There was no sound on some TV channels. All fairly minimal problems, so far.
I arranged a farewell meal with six friends in the downstairs Orangery Restaurant. I booked a table for eight, and all in place at an agreed time of 7:45 pm. We placed our orders, and sat back expecting drinks to arrive. At 8:30 pm I called over the manager and asked where our drinks were, and he immediately shouted at another manager, who in turn shouted at the waitress (all in front of us). Our wine glasses duly arrived, well six of them anyway, then another waiter brought the other two, so I asked if we could perhaps have something to put in them. At around 8:45 our wine arrived, then in about ten or fifteen minutes our starters arrived.
I was shouted at at breakfast for sitting down at a table (there was no one on the door to welcome us), then picked up a coffee jug to fill cups and got shouted at again.
Im very glad to be out of there! If you stay here, it's at your own risk and although it is very convenient, they need to look at their Customer Service and Management training.
