Minto Suite Hotel Hotel - Page 1

We first arrived at the Minto Suite Hotel in Ottawa and we were shocked by its interesting designs and styles. The lobby was very welcoming and, the rooms are large and nicely put together. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were clean and nice. The staff was very nice and gave us many offers for the hotel and gave us various info on the nearby attractions. The nice and clean areas delicately put together buffets and restaurants and stores around the hotel give the hotel a strong value. I surely recommend this hotel to people who want to try a comfortable hotel that is affordable.

Hotel was located in the downtown area of Ottawa, which made everything very easy for me. I was able to go out and be in the core of Ottawa and not have to take some type of transportation to go around town. The price of hotel I felt was a bit overpriced, but for a hotel of this stature and location, it could be worth it for some. The room was pratically like a house, it included all the different rooms you would find such as a kitchen, bathroom, sleeping room. The beds were very soft and they made sure it had that new mint smell all over. It does tend to get a bit noisy though at night, which is created by the traffic outside. But aside from that, its a great place to stay.

I stayed in this hotel on June 30, 2007 and all my family members like the hotel very much. This hotel has so many things going for it:

1) Location: just on the edge of the downtown area, about a fifteen minute walk to the Parliament buildings along Sparks street.

2) Cheap parking on the weekends ($4 bucks if I remember correctly)

3) Pool, sauna, jacuzzi and gym.

4) Rooms - we booked a studio suite for our Saturday night stay. It had everything we needed and then some...mini kitchen, large bathroom, balcony with a nice view. I could go on. Really clean and comfortable.

5) Price - $145/night thru the hotel website. Compared to other hotels with rooms of comparable size, this is a steal, especially around Canada Day.

I highly recommend this hotel.
