Well-located, European-style hotel. Basic amenities in the rooms and good location for sightseeing, dining and shopping. Continental breakfast is included and each room has a private bath. The brochure boasts of complimentary high-speed wireless Internet access, but the service is bad and there is usually not a wireless signal. This should either be fixed or removed from the brochure. Location is great for sightseeing, dining and shopping - two stops on the Green Line "T" are within walking distance.

35 year old woman with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure

This hotel is small and quaint, If you are looking for 5 stars this is not your place. But if you are looking for a small peaceful place in the heart of down town Boston you got the right place. The front desk staff is not the fastest or the most polite. But the management and housekeeping staff are willing to go the extra mile. if you are looking for a quiet, easy to get around hotel in the heart of Boston this is your place. Ps they need to get laundry soap for there washers.

Hours after checking out, I was contacted by the hotel. They informed me that the credit card used to pay for the room would be charged an extra $50 for the theft of a picture from the room's bathroom. I have never stolen a thing in my life, and I sure wouldn't start with a hotel bathroom picture! The manager informed us that if we had a problem with it, we could take them to court. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, and as of yet they are still not backing down. Regardless, I would not stay at this hotel ever again.

36 year old woman with a moderate budget, traveling for business

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. I was traveling for business and in Boston for a large conference. The entire city was booked out or we would have walked out and stayed (anywhere) else.

The Milner is very dirty and broken-down. With a gobsmackingly rude staff. To be fair - they are probably worn out by all the complaints they receive.

Our travel agent booked double rooms for us and we arrived and were put into singles. The rooms were so small that my colleague who is 6'4" was too long for the single bed, and even worse - he hit the wall as there were only a couple of inches clearance on the end.

Everything in the hotel is grotty, tired and broken down. I could have coped better if it was clean. The carpets are filthy and black with grime - from the reception area up. It smells slightly.

The hotel lacks basic facilities. Our rooms did not have cupboards, chest of drawers, desk, iron, ironing board. The first single they put me into lacked even enough space to open my suitcase on the floor.

Things were broken and the staff do not care or get these fixed when you inform them. My room was absolutely stifling but the air conditioning was blowing warm air. The worst of it was that the warm air was still better than leaving it off and allowing the room to reach boiling point on its own. I asked for it to be fixed and I was informed that as the settings were on "cool" and it was blowing (warm) air, it was fine.

The handle came of the toilet so it couldn't flush. The internet in the room did not work. The internet jack had a fault. I informed reception twice a day for 5 days. They assured me that it would be dealt with but didn't send anyone to look. I know because the cable was in the same position on the floor whenever I got in.

The shower was lukewarm.

There are no dry cleaning facilities - a laundry in the basement for guest use. Makes it very unsuitable for business travel.

I couldn't bear to spend any time in the hovel at all so we simply stayed out.

This place was nasty nasty nasty! Filthy, broken, lousy service and attitude. Do not stay here.
