PROS:
*it had a nice view of the city
*does have a great location for Bush Stadium, the Arch & other things downtown
*the lobby is very nice to meet up with people & have a drink
* they do have parking right across the street, just for hotel guests
* they had a business center one could use to print out your plane tix, but they charge by the minute & if you use a credit card, the minimum is $3 charge.
CONS:
* The hotel was revamped around the late 90's early 2000's, but has severely gone down since then
* The tv was pretty bad...like a late 80's set!
* Bathroom is ridiculously small
* The room is furnished poorly, there is no place for you to put your suitcase and a super small closet
* The elevators are super slow & always busy...better to just take the stairs
* When you take a shower, the floor gets soaked b/c the curtain doesn't stop the water!
*There is no wi-fi in your room, only down stairs in the lobby & still you have to pay the same fee for dial up!
*the south tower is something out of 1985 and the north tower is really not much better
*the bedspread and the blanket had cigarette burns all over it & so did the ONLY chair (we asked for a non-smoking room)
We were recommended this hotel for a wedding party group of rooms. I found it to be more like a Ramada Inn or a Best Western, in terms of the quality. True the hotel has 2 places to dine and a nice bar area, but that is really the only "hotel quality" ammenities they have. The rooms are ok, but they aren't as nice as you would expect from a hotel.
If you are going to go to a Cardinal's game...this is a super great place for you to stay. You could just walk over to the stadium. Actually, that is exactly what the large majority of the people who stayed there were doing. As for a wedding party, your parents are in town, need to get away, I totally give it a thumbs DOWN!
If you want a nicer place to stay, try the Hyatt next door.
Just a side note parking is $20/day. Don't think you'll find something on the street either!
