Take advice from Robot on Lost In Space - "DANGER Will Robinson!" We attended a conference here this week and our stay was from 1/9/08 thru 1/12/09. This hotel was NOT ready for a few thousand people coming into town!
Some of issues were: the line to check in when we arrived was at LEAST 2 hours long - others reported longer. Some problems were that the computers kept crashing (but they were nice enough to comp that night). Water level was low to NONE at times, especially when showering or other. Water was COLD during showers. Someone received a key to a room and when they opened the door, there were already guests in it, rooms with 2 queen beds were SMALL..
Some "crazy" things happened here, too: someone got locked in the bathroom for no reason, the elevator "dropped" a few times with several people in it and guests had to climb out, someone's bed collapsed, the ceiling fell in in one room where a meeting was being held (a pipe burst overhead), it was said that the TV in the bar/grill "fell" due to a broken cable. The alarm clock in our room went off at 4:30 in the morning - no one had set it - and had some WEIRD music going on.
Reading another review of the fire alarm going off, having to evacuate the room, the firemen coming, etc....yep, this happened, too.
This hotel is connected via skywalk to a conference center. You'd THINK that with that many floors in a hotel and access to a conference center they'd be more prepared! Mary Kay Consultants - BE WARE!!!! You're going next week - check it out first!
