female with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure
We had an access problem with our door the first 24 hours. They even sent maintenance to replace the whole assembly. After a gratis breakfast the next morning, I told them I wanted a new room and I wanted an upgrade. We got both and sincere apologies with another free breakfast. The upgrade was exactly the same except for a robe, bottled water and a teeny fridge. People were very friendly and accommodating and after the door incident, knew my name. Valet parking was ridiculous at $22 per but when I came back the third day and the lot was full, I still had a reserved place. They might not be too imaginative on how to compensate a patron but they are quick to grant wishes. Bistro on Elm was closed after breakfast because there weren't enough people to keep it open all day. We enjoyed walking around the skyline restaurant which rotates 360 degrees at dinner times. The only reason I cannot rule this hotel as excellent is the lighting (almost like a nite light everywhere but the bath); extrememly expensive breakfast; short on help (valet, luggage) and desk clerks (1). They are quick to learn who you are if you're there two or more days. There is dust where people don't normally look but living area is clean. Linens are great, view is fantastic. Now if I could just figure out what that 8' pillow was for.
Getting there was a total pain and then we had to try to find a parking garage since I'm not about to pay $22 for valet parking! Once we got there we had to stand in a rather long line just to check in. Maybe they should change check-in times to earlier than 4pm like a normal hotel so that there isn't a huge rush. The room was small, the walls were paper thin, and the bed was uncomfortable. The bathroom was a total joke. When we turned on the bathtub, water hit the edge of the tub and ran over so that the floor was soaked! Horribly cheap construction! It would have been fine for maybe $60, but to charge $140 per night is highway robbery! Oh, and we did have the breakfast buffet. For $15 per plate you'd think it would be the best buffet in the world. The only good thing was the fruit selection, which was quite impressive. Other than that, it was ridiculous. The eggs were like soup and the meat was old and cold! All in all this was probably the worst hotel I've ever stayed at!
I am not likely
to return to the Millennium Hotel Cincinnati.
I would not recommend it to friends.

Good
The beds at this hotel are like a rock. I have had similar beds in mainland China. The pillows are cheap foam. The best part about this hotel is that it is quick to get out of to attend conventions at the Duke Energy Center which is connected via a...
Very long check in and check out time.......had to wait in line a very long time. Finally got up to the room and no remote control for the TV. Called the desk and was promised a remote control would be brought to the room. When we checked out we...

Horrible
This is actually my first ever online review -- in the past I've never found the need! But the experience I had staying at this hotel has prompted me to warn others! To begin, I was sharing a room with 2 other adults. We were placed in a room...
Was here for a conference the week of 1/9/08 - 1/12/08. Some of issues were: the line to check in was at LEAST 2 hours long (but they were nice enough to comp that night), water level was low to NONE at times, especially when showering or other....
