45 year old man with a moderate budget, traveling for business

Our entire company that attended the IBM Storage Tech Conf in 2008 was disappointed in the Biltmore Hotel and staff. Upon arriving I asked to stay an extra night since the conference sessions would not end until 5:30 PM. I was told this was not a problem. That was Sunday, but on Thursday I was handed my bill and told to leave since they had booked all the rooms. I was not informed ahead of time nor did the staff offer to assist me in finding other accommodations. I had to miss most of the last day of the conference due to the Biltmore Staff incompetence. Other member of our company had billing issues and had to suffer the entire stay trying to get them resolved.

I would not recommend this hotel for anything other than a walk through to see the ornate decor.

This hotel is beautiful. Everything was great!! The lobby and corridor are breathtaking. Can't say enough good things about this property. The ONLY place to stay in LA!!!

After reading the reviews online and seeing some good and some bad ones, I was a little bit nervous about using this hotel but decided to go with it anyway. I'm so glad I did! I didn't experience any of the problems I read about-my room was huge and very clean. The staff was very friendly and nobody pushed me for any kind of tips. When we arrived at the hotel we noticed that parking was $40 a night, and we asked the attendant if there was anywhere else to park. He immediately told us of a parking garage a half a block away that was $12 for the whole day and all night. I would definitely recommend this hotel. The only reason I can think of that this is getting such low reviews is because I got a club room, not a standard room (it was only a $50 dollar difference). The club room was very big and luxurious and beautiful. Also, the club room gained us access to the club lounge for hor'doerves in the evening and breakfast in the morning for free. If you use this service (which was delicious) the extra $50 pays for itself. I would also reccommend going to tea at teatime-it was very good! The hotel was the best part of my trip. Give it a try!

38 year old man with a economy budget, traveling for leisure

I got a good deal from the web so I booked one night on a thanksgiving week. First of all, parking is $35 dollar. So during the check-in I told them that I would like to park at the other parking lot (there is parking deck next to the hotel and they charge $14 a night). When I got my car back, my car was damaged, I complain to the front desk, they told me that parking is contracted out to other company and they told me to work with parking manager. They refused to give me their insurance information until I called the police. They finally gave me the insurance number but until today, no one called me back. I cannot believe this hotel is still in business. Please don't stay at this hotel.

From the unfriendly staff, to the overpriced amenities, this once glamorous hotel has really hit the skids. The rooms are noisy, small and the room was unclean. Even after asking for better accommodations, the rest of the rooms were the same. Then, if you have a car, the parking rates are astronomical... and it takes them hours to locate your car (they actually lost my car!). Of course I was charged for services I did not order or receive and I am still trying to resolve. The so-called manager's attempt of resolving the matter was to tell me that I could just check-out and go elsewhere. Of course, this was at 2 am and could not do so soon enough! You are better off at another hotel.
