member icon PERFECT LOCATION
Posted Jun 30, 08 by kdarley, 1 reviews
55 year old woman with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure

The location was perfect for what we wanted. Times Square was a block away. The Gray Line stop was a couple of blocks away. The subway was a couple of blocks away. Broadway theatres were all around us. My adult daughter and I felt very safe walking around the area at midnight. Sure, the chrome in the bathroom was pitted and there was a little mold in one corner, pipes hummed in the sink in the bathroom, the air conditioning was merely adequate, the room was a little small--but this all helped give a sense of history. I could easily imagine rising stars of days gone by staying in this hotel so they would be near the theatre. The price was more reasonable than most other hotels in the area. It was a great experience.

I am very likely to return to the Milford Plaza Hotel.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

The only thing good about Milford Plaza is that it's in Times Square.

The bad:

The size of the room was tiny for $200/night.

The room and the bed had so much dust you could see it in the air. If you have allergies you will want to choose a cleaner hotel.

Service wise, they weren't the nicest people, nobody offered to help with our bags, and no one jumped to help us. The wait to check-in was longer than usual and irritating.

The photos they post on websites were NOTHING like the room I stayed in. The real room was much more run down and dirty.

I hate this hotel. Avoid the Milford Plaza in Times Square.

I am not likely to return to the Milford Plaza Hotel.
I would not recommend it to friends.

Amazing
member icon Perfect hotel for a city trip

The Milford Plaza is situated in the heart of Manhattan and therefore the perfect starting point for shopping, sightseeing, musical, dinner, a walk thru Central Park etc.

Some rooms are a bit small but who wants to spend much time in a hotel room!?! The staff is very friendly and helpful. Other than other users we didnt have a problem with street noise.

I can definitely recommend the Milford Plaza as the perfect middle class hotel for a NYC city trip and would/will stay there again.

Just spent one week in NY it was fab... Milford plaza was very central for us.

we found the rooms small at first but then again your not in the room that much ! the room was clean and the bed was changed every day,the decor was some what to be desired.

the coffee shop was great, hotel shop great, lifts not so good when your on the 22 nd floor, always breaking down ,one time i had too be taken down on the tradesmans lift? never found the gym or the BAR....

Front of House was spot on booked our mama mia tickets there.

all in all not too bad of place to stop for a trip to NY (VERY CENTRAL) , the staff were always freindly and ah ho you could do alot worse..... have fun my friends............

I staid at the Milford Plaza for two weeks, one elevator was out of service the entire two weeks. Another elevator stopped working on a Fri, and was not repaired until Tues afternoon. The entire time the elevator was out of service the security people lied to paying guest, claiming elevators were all working. I called and talked to the manager, and was promised a return call. She never called back. One executive, when I asked him about the elevators, he turned and walked away.
