traveling with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
Our family stayed at the Mike Ditka Resorts Runaway Beach Club while our 12-year-old daughter participated in a soccer tournament. Her iPod and digital camera were stolen from her backpack after a Resort employee removed her backpack from the pool area (without her consent) while the pool was open. The General Manager was very dismissive when we reported the incident, telling us that unless an employee admitted stealing the items, there was nothing the Resort would do. The Executive Manager told us to file a police report (which we did), and the CEO, Guest Services and other members of management did not return our phone calls or respond to our comment card, e-mails or letters. No explanation, no apology, no offer to even partially reimburse our daughter for her $300 loss. If you stay at a Mike Ditka resort or other property managed by Geneva Hospitality, LLC, guard your property! And don’t bother reporting any problems to general or executive management because you will not get a response.
