This hotel was economical, but a great value. The room/suite was well thought out. Exceptionally clean and in good repair. No problems with the wireless internet. We did not use the fitness center nor did we partake of the continental breakfast. Staff was friendly and helpful.

From the moment I got off the plane the hotel gave me problems. Their airport shuttle is a taxi. They lack in customer service. The breakfast was a joke for the price you're paying for the room. The place smelled. The room was very tiny with no place to sit. The mirror above the bed appears to be a two-way mirror(it's different than all the other mirrors in the room). The room was very noisy also because your right next to the highway and they don't have the windows soundproofed.

The location was okay. The staff didn't seem to want to do anything extra, like ask if I needed anything.

This hotel was great. It was in a very convenient area and the price was great. It did not have a pool but we went to shop and it was a great value.

I did a lot of research to try to find an affordable hotel around the Mall of America, since it's so hard to find a decent place for a decent price.

I finally chose the Microtel in Bloomington and was amazed at the deal I got $49.99 US a night. It was a very simple, and basic room, which is all we needed. It was very clean and comfortable, and the staff was friendly, too.

It is wonderfully close to the mall and right across from Wal-Mart which closes daily at midnight. The free wireless internet was a wonderful bonus too, they also offer free local and long distance calling to the US.

The continental breakfast had bagels, muffins, orange and apple juice (not much, but with the savings in the room rate you can go to the local IHOP or Denny's) which is also very close.

I highly recommend to those budget conscious travelers who want a clean, comfortable place to stay without all the frills.
