Stay Away

NASTY & DIRTY: DISGUSTING!!!!

48 year old woman with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure

Too bad I can't rate the hotel at zero stars. This is a filthy hotel!!! Supposed non-smoking rooms were anything but. We tried 2 rooms, this is our experience:

Shower curtains had black and pink mold growing across the whole curtain over one foot high.

Unvaccumed rooms.

Air conditioner air smelled like urine.

Dirty public areas.

The worst mattresses I've ever tried to sleep on. and bedding is not as described on microtel.com website.

Train located less than one block away blows horn every 15 minutes all night long to boot.

WE WILL NEVER STAY AT A MICROTEL AGAIN!!

Generally, it was a nice place to stay, but the pool and hot tub had what seemed to be a simple problem and they couldn't get it fixed over the four days and three nights we were there.

I am somewhat likely to return to the Microtel Inn and Suites Huron.
I might recommend it to friends.
