Microtel Inn and Suites El Paso Hotel

This hotel was easily accessible off of the highway. The staff was friendly and helpful and professional. I was pleasantly surprised by the good lighting in the rooms.

This hotel made me feel extravagent: I had to purchase a double bed room because that was all that was available, even though I was staying alone. I would have liked them to match the rates for single occupancy rooms since I was by myself, but that was not offered as an option. I would have liked to price compare, but had been on the road for some time and decided to pay more than I would have liked.

The hotel and room were fine. The breakfast was acceptable. We had trouble finding it and the front desk wasn't very helpful when we called for directions.

I thought it was a little pricey because there were only double occupancy rooms available. I would have liked them to match the price for an individual room since they were sold out of those. I felt very safe at this location. The door keys were credit card-like keys that were difficult to scan for entry. I do appreciate their loyalty program where you stay with them and you earn points toward a free room in the future. The staff people were very nice and professional. I had a comfortable night's stay. I was a little disappointed that no travel shampoo and conditioner were offered in the bathroom, only soap!

I was generally satisfied. But the last time I stayed there there was a difference in the advertised price for commercial rates and what they charged.
