Microtel Inn Allentown Hotel - Page 1

I reserved a handicapped room so that I would have wheelchair access to the bathroom and a hand held shower. They gave me a room for the hearing impaired and made no corrections or accommodations. The bed was supposed to be a queen but it was a double. They told me double and queen are the same. At checkout they tried to over charge me. When I raised a fuss they tried to tell me that I needed to pay the extra amount and they would credit my card, because the manager was not currently on the premises. Worst motel experience ever. Do not give any business to the Allentown Microtel.

a great getway. Ive stayed at the Microtel many times. I have always felt comfortable there. The staff is so friendly and always there to help. I know Im in good hands at the Microtel. As a matter of fact, I plan on visiting them real soon. It will always be my favorite hotel.

The location is convenient plus the room layout is compact and efficient. The twenty-four hour microwave availability and disposable dishes were deeply appreciated. The continental breakfast is a lifesaver!

Room was extremely small and cramped. The lighting situation was bad, there was only one large fluorescent overhead light over the bed, rather than individual bedside lamps, so that one person could not read in bed while another person slept. I would not stay in another Microtel, and would not recommend it to others.

Microtel is nothing fancy, but it's perfect if you just want something simple and you don't want to spend a lot of money. Every time I stay there, the rooms and service are consistently decent.
