The Marriott of Miami Dadeland is exceptional in quality and comfort. The service is friendly. However, the location is only recommended for business travelers, being located in a heavy business district. However, there is a rail line nearby for quick and easy access to the heart of Miami.

my 1st nite the valet driver stole money out of my car and i proved it. the in house security did nothing. the staff did nothing about it. the head security guy was unprofessional and would not get me the gm. security kept telling me gm was in a meeting for the 5 days i was there but kept rendering her decision of the hotel not being at fault. there is no parking in this area. the gm, head security, and levels of management just below them forced me to call my heros miami"s finest. this didn't resolve my theft problem but it gave me a sense of resolution. being from illinois on vacation my exerience of florida was awesome. we swam w/manatees, airboat ride, parasailed, rented boat to snorkel, and did the uncertified scuba dive w/ a professional. spent thousands in florida and im planning on doing it again but never ever with this hotel this hotel's staff on top was aside from all of my fun with my family just devistated me. its too bad how just a couple of people can just ruin how beautiful and how eligant this hotel is. i pray for my next experience with marriot hotels. thanks tom L.

We stayed at this hotel because my sister was taking her medical boards there and I was helping to take care of her daughter. I found a lot of easy places to shop, visit and eat at in the area. And the rooms were nicer than I expected.
The rooms were comfortable and the lobby area and the computer room were easy to find and use and also comfortable.
I am very likely
to return to the Miami Marriott Dadeland.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.
lovely room, the bed was soooo comfy and the staff were very helpful my only problem was that there didn't seem much to do around the hotel. It appears that there is a lot of building work going on so maybe this will...

Well located for Dadeland Mall and the Monorail for downtown Miami. The hotel is very comfortable and serves an excellent breakfast. Valet parking is quick and efficient.
Publix supermarket is a short walk away for those forgotten items....

The hotel had easy access from the major highway, nice, comfortable rooms and a fair price. I would recommend this hotel to others and I would also stay there again myself. It had a pleasant staff.

My family booked three rooms at the Marriott Dadeland. We were part of a wedding party of over 40 out-of-town guests and the bride and groom had chosen this hotel due to proximity of the wedding.
The check-in process was chaotic and we did not get into our rooms until two hours after normal check-in. I had booked the rooms two months in advance and the hotel knew about this wedding at least eight months in advance. Furthermore, I had called 24 hours before to check on the rooms and request early check-in due to the hectic wedding rehearsal schedule that day. The excuse given for the late check-in was that we wanted our rooms on the same floor. I think that is was poor planning and prioritizing on their part.
To add insult to injury, one of my family members was charged $250 for smoking in their room. We were not told about this fee when I called to make reservations and requested smoking rooms; when we checked in; not posted on their website. However, there are tiny cards with fine print in the rooms to let you know!
Ironically, two other members of our party smoked in their rooms and they were not charged the fee. So, smokers beware of the Marriott chain in Florida! By the way, I did look up the Florida Non-smoking Law and the penalty is $100. I guess Marriott needs the extra revenue to "recover" the room.
In addition, you can hear other guests using the bathrooms from other rooms. Upon checking out, I was given the wrong keys to the car by the valet. From a world traveler and Miami native, I recommend that you stay away from this hotel! Try the Hampton Inn nearby instead.
