I am a Marriott rewards member, so I stay at a lot of Marriott hotels. The evening front desk staff was not the friendliest. Also the parking was very expensive. Room service was good, but the bar tender at the main lounge was a little lazy. I...
50 year old with a moderate budget, traveling for business
I visited Miami Marriott Biscayne Bay as a business traveler. The rooms are small and cramped. If you sit down to work at the desk, your chair bumps into the bed constantly. Guests must pay $12.95 per day for Internet hookup. The rooms do not have a refrigerator or microwave. The hotel has several restaurants with a limited menu selection and high prices. Fortunately, several excellent eating establishments are located in an adjacent mall between Miami Marriott and the neighboring Strand hotel. My room had a beautiful view of Biscayne Bay, but the window was so dirty you could hardly look out of it. Parking in Marriott's parking garage costs $26 per day. When you use the express option to check out, you are instructed to leave your room keys in your room before leaving the building. However, if you park in the garage without using the Valet service, you actually need your key to get your car out of the garage. You have to swipe the key. Of course, if you follow the hotel's instructions for express check-out, you won't have the key. You'll be told that a Valet worker can help you...for a tip of course! The room was clean and the staff was nice enough. However, don't be surprised if you feel like a money bag instead of a guest at this hotel. Cha-ching, Cha-ching! Every single thing offered at this hotel costs extra, which will be added to your bill.

Excellent
The hotel was in a perfect location. Walking distance to American Airlines Arena, taxi cost $16.00 to get to South Beach. The hotel is on the water looking out to South Beach. I would visit this hotel again.
