The front desk staff went above and beyond for us. The rooms were a very good value and were very clean.

This hotel made me feel practical: It was a nice, clean hotel and the price we paid was reasonable for that.

I am very likely to return to the Metropolitan Express.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

The I-Drive was a nightmare from the beginning!

I had to call the police the first 5 minutes we were there! I'm disabled and require an assistance animal and the hotel tried to segregate my family and I and force us to stay in a room away from everyone so my service dog wouldn’t "scare other residents" or get "hair" in a room where someone with allergies might stay.

I had to argue with the manager for an hour and provide information on the law myself. Since they were violating FL law 413.08 as well as the ADA our room was switched 3 whole doors down. A DOJ report has been filed.

We stayed the 26-31 and our room was not cleaned one time. The carpet was bubbled and torn all over and the smell of mold was apparent. It looked as if it had been flooded and then left to dry. We all left with stuffy noses. Our keys to the doors wouldn't work, we had to go get our own towels everyday to take a shower! The doors were chipped, the bathroom had paint that was never covered from before and the ceilings were so low, I could rest my entire palm on the ceiling. Forget trying to find someone to speak English to help you!

We had to take out our own trash and my husband made our bed. If you were hoping for a romantic vacation with your husband forget it. The next family checking in actually took a picture of a roach as they were walking to their room. I couldn't pack our bags fast enough! The beds were nasty with stains and so uncomfortable I think I need a Dr. If we are stranded without a hotel again "I" will "drive" my car to a parking space and sleep there!

I visited this hotel in Feb 2007, booking it through Hotels.com. The check-in was efficient, however after arriving late, we got to a dark room and quickly fell asleep.

My sleep was short lived when our bedside clock alarm went off at 12.30. Thank you whoever set that. Sleep resumed until around 4 am, when the traffic noise finally overcame my bodie’s need of sleep.

My partner had only just arrived from abroad and was considerably more tired than me and so I allowed them to stay asleep until daybreak, at which time I was going to try and move rooms.

When they awoke I had a chance to look around the room some more.

The room was located about 20 ft from I-4, a main Interstate, hence the noise. It appears 50% of the hotel suffers from that.

The room was also extremely warn out and had clearly not been maintained well. In the light of day, the mattresses appeared to be disgusting, and there were holes in the carpet, door and other places.

I attempted to get Hotels.com to cancel my reservation, but apparently there was no one available at the hotel until 10 am. Tough, I was leaving thank you.

It was not a pleasant experience. They need a major overhaul before I'd recommend this hotel to anyone.

Our stay was good. They had a wonderful continental breakfast. It was easily located. The only problem we had was that the beds were lumpy and really uncomfortable. We brought this to the manager's attention at the end of our stay and we were told they were in the process of coming under new ownership and they would probably be renovating at that time. The prices were very reasonable compared to other facilities in the area. Overall I would love to stay there again if we travel to the area.

The room was next to the ice machine. People kept getting ice all night long. No sleep. TV did not work.
