Stayed the week of Sept. 13, and couldn't have ask for a nicer place. The people were wonderful, kind and courteous, and went out of their way to please. The room was clean and the sheets smelled as if they had just been taken out of the dryer!
Security was always around giving us comfort, and in my particular case. I became ill(nothing to do with the hotel), had to go to hospital, and when released, the wonderful people there offered to come pick me up. They also guided my friend on having Avis come after the rental car. Great bunch of folks! The only reason I didn't give a higher rating was due to hearing planes go over that first night or two interfered with sleep, but got used to it.

Mediocre
During this trip, we stayed at four hotels. This was the worst. I understand that they are renovating the facility, but that is still no excuse for the poor level of cleanliness. Someone could have wiped down the walls of the elevators which were...

Sunday, July 15, 2007, delayed Air Trans flight stranded me in Memphis for night. Air Trans gave me discount coupon with Nationwide Hospitality number. They gave me Clarion Hotel Graceland as discount for that day and room rate of $47. I called Clarion for courtesy van and was told to call back in 10 minutes. I did so, and he said about 10 minutes more. I called again after 30 minutes and was told about 10 minutes. After 55 minutes, the van drove by full. A rental car van driver took me to Clarion. I showed the man (who had on no uniform or name tag) my coupon and confirmation number; he said I didnt have a reservation with that. I said that I still needed a room. He ran my Visa card and gave me a room key card. When I questioned the rate, which was not what I was told, he said he had no agreement with anyone. I said I would be calling Clarion to find out why they didnt honor the rate given. He grabbed the room key card back from me and said gruffly: You wont be complaining about MY hotel. Im the manager, and you wont be getting a room here. He then rescinded my Visa transaction & yelled at the van driver to take me back to the airport. This man denied me a room because I threatened to call Clarion & complain about the rate. I walked out & called a taxi. Nationwide Hosp. said theyve had complaints about the overcharge at this hotel.

Good
I found the staff to be very helpful and knowledgable about the area. The free Continental Breakfast included biscuits and gravy and make your own waffles, it was delicious. I'd stay there again.
