I loved this hotel....I plan on stay here everytime I visit Memphis...The hotel has an indoor pool, which was good for kids to swim...there was a bar...which was good for the adults to unwind the whole atmosphere was great. The service was excellent....

It was a very nice property, with excellent amenities. They had great service. The downside was that I noticed that the property was surrounded by an iron fence with security gates. The chain restaurants in the area have closed and boarded up the windows. Obviously, this is an area in decline though I never felt unsafe. I felt very secure within the hotel compound.
I had not planned to stay at the Marriott hotel on this occasion; however, after having lunch in the hotel, I cancelled my reservation at another hotel in order to stay at the Marriott hotel. This was the last night of a grueling five day road trip and I felt my night's stay at this hotel ended my business trip on a good note. I had a restful evening and ready to catch the plane home. This particular Marriott hotel is a very nice property.

There was a loud family reunion going on in the parking lot for which a fifteen feet barbeque pit was parked in the front of the main entrance. The music and the language were offensive. I would not recommend it favorably.

The location was close to the airport and all my business appointments. Though not the nicest part of town, the hotel was very clean and well kept. The food was excellent and the staff was friendly. Overall it was a positive experience.
The gates outside instilled a sense that inappropriate persons would not have access to the site.
