Rooms were very clean, the cleaning staff enjoy shavers, toothcare products, Skin care supplies, etc. Very nice people!
The drinks were great, you could get premium liquors at the bar. The frozen drinks were so-so as they were very sweet with no real fruit in them.
The food was not so delicious, the meat was only really good in the a la carte restaurants. lots of the resort patrons were complaining of vomiting and diarrhea. Most of the meats in the buffets were questionable and if you take a look at the majority of the farm animals in the area, you will not wonder why. Breakfast was lovely usually, with lots of fruit and shakes/etc.
the beach was fabulous with lots going on. Nightly entertainment was great, with live Cuban Jazz most nights with dancing lessons/piano bar, etc.
Great lobby bar, with fantastic bartenders, some can do tricks to beat the band. The concierge service was excellent with extra long golf carts to whisk you away to your dinner plans. The pools were always clean with swim up bar. I really, really enjoyed Las Dunas. I will definitely return here with some more friends. Not a huge party spot, for sure, but I was there to relax anyway! Rental car service available on site so you can do your own thing-52 bucks per day for a tiny Hyundai-another 10 bucks for insurance and only 100kms are included. 15cents per km over. I really didn't get off of the highway to anywhere really and that was well over 40kms into the journey, so it will cost you to go anywhere of great distance. There is a gas station before you get back to the resort that you must fill up at before you return the car as well. Overall, the resort was wonderful, very relaxing indeed.
