My wife and I stayed at Maui Coast end of June. The hotel is in a good location if you don't mind not being on the beach (which would cost twice as much). We had a one bedroom suite which was a nice size room. The suite did seem a little old, but clean. The staff was helpful and we had no complaints. Overall, the hotel is a good value for what hotels cost in Maui.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Maui Coast very much (as well as being our first and most definitely not last time on the beautiful island of Maui!)
The cleaning and front staff was very friendly, i.e. always greeting us and smiling at us. Our rooms were always clean when we asked for room service. The concierge was exceptionally nice. She did everything she could to accommodate us with our daily tours. The price of the hotel was reasonable compared to other hotels nearby (we traveled at the beginning of February 2007).
The beach was great. Only a five minute walk and it was never really busy, so we had no trouble finding a preferred spot. The only thing my husband and I did not like is that there is not a walkway to take a "seaside stroll" along the beach but then again, this is not a resort. We were given a great first impression!
