We stayed in one of the deluxe renovated rooms with two Tempurpedic beds. The experience for the $120 we paid for was terrible. The first room we were in had grease or oil in the sink to which lots of dust particles had adhered. The toilet had a film of oily substance over the water, a ring around the bowl and looked like it had not been cleaned in a week. The telephone did not work. We asked to be moved. The room next door to which we were moved had A/C trouble, and after 2 hours it had not cooled off. The soap was also used in that room. Maintenance came up and could not fix the A/C. They put us back into our original room.
My husband and I were in the room with out 10 year old daughter, and when my husband turned on the television, he was greeted with hardcore porn, not soft porn! He had not changed the channel, it just came on to that channel. The TV list doesn’t even show an adult channel! We called down to the front desk and they said "Oh, they always have that on". Thank God my daughter was in the bathroom at the time. The pillows had bug carcasses on them. The window had cobwebs on the top of the sill, and the door handle has gunk all caked on the part you grab. It was gross. This is one of the more disgusting hotels I’ve ever stayed in. If it wasn’t for the Tempurpedic bed, which is the sole reason we chose this hotel (try before you buy) we would have left immediately.
The staff seems to be friendly enough and there is a cool parrot in the lobby, who says “Hello” and “Bye, bye” and stuff, so that’s entertaining. If you are looking for a seedy porn hook up spot, this is for you, but for $120 a night you can easily go to a gentlemen's club instead. I do have photos to document for the complaint we plan on filing! The only good note is that the staff is very nice, they tried to help and we nice about everything. You can tell that the hotel is trying to change, but in order to do that, they have to work much harder.
