I thought there was never enough staff. The food was way overpriced. The market cafe was not very good. I did not like how you had to wait in line for pool towels.
I am very likely
to return to the Marriott's Ko Olina Beach Club.
I might recommend it to friends.

My sister has a timeshare there, went with her (& family). 5 star rooms, 4 1/2 star service if you count the restaurant. Only downside was the building going on all around. I like the seclusion (35 min from Wiakiki, etc), but this side of the island is getting built up as well. I enjoyed it so much just bought a Timeshare as well!
l plan on going once a year, wonderful getaway from the daily grind!

The resort was clean and comfortable. The resort is isolated, making it hard to drive to attractions. The dining options are quite limited both on and off-site, excepting the restaurants at the JW Marriott resort. It is best for families who want to stay primarily at the beach and pool and don't want to see many other Ohau sites.

We stayed there several times over the years. And I've traveled to Hawaii for 30 years for both personal and business, and we own a condo in Waikiki.
Last year was our worst experience in Hawaii ever, and it was at the Ko Olina. My wedding ring was stolen/lost out of my room the first day. It took 5 days for someone to follow up after I had called and gone to the lobby, daily.
Meantime, I took a shower in the spa. There were dirty towels everywhere, and locals with their whole families in there. Which isn't so bad, except one of the local boys about 8 years old was peeking under the door while I was showering.
I bought a timeshare there the year before. I doubt I will go back there until there is a big shift in management styles.
