male with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure
My wife and I stayed at this property in Sep 2009, not really knowing what it was. Our children are grown and weren't with us, so all of the ameneties for kids were mostly lost on us. It is a nice resort, but definitely aimed at young families. Marriott recently converted it from a Horizons property to a Marriott Vacation Club property, and some changes are still taking place. Some of the decor is being updated, and it needs it. Overall a good resort, looking like it will get better.

There is so much for the family to do on site. There is a scheduled kid event every hour of every day. Puppet shows, craft activities, swimming (the water slide is awesome), ice cream everyday from 2-3, game room, miniture golf, pool, foosball, basketball, fishing and the list goes on. Short drive to Disney (5 miles) Sea World is across the street so you can see the fireworks every night at 10 pm.

When we got to our room we were completely taken back. It was our home away from home. The two older kids had their own bed in their room, which meant no fights. The heated pool was a huge plus. We stayed at the pool at night for a couple of...
