Hotel Review by a traveler from Phoenix, AZ - Posted Mar 15, 06
75 year old man with a economy budget, traveling for business

The only thing I disliked about the trip was the weather. It was in December, there was snow on the ground, and it was too cold for me to get out and enjoy the area.

This hotel made me feel welcome: I had reservations ahead of time and when I arrived I was able to go straight to my room without wasting much time.

I am somewhat likely to return to the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

54 year old woman with a moderate budget, traveling for business

Parking was very difficult, with poor signage and unhelpful instructions from the front door staff. The room was lovely and clean. I paid for DSL internet service and on my second day of stay it did not work. I found out after two o'clock in the afternoon that it was not working because they were upgrading it but I was given no advance warning of this. I was told they would take this off my bill, but they did not and I had to go to the desk on the day of check out to have them remove it. It was a great inconvenience to not have this available for a whole day. All the other staff members were very helpful and friendly. Some of the meeting facilities were comfortable, some were very crowded and uncomfortable. The food service was uneven.

I am somewhat likely to return to the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel.
I might recommend it to friends.

Hotel Review by a traveler from Riley, KS - Posted Feb 7, 06
36 year old woman with a moderate budget, traveling for business

The ongoing construction work made my stay unbearable. The room was dirty, the phone and the television were broken, the alarm on clock did not work and the bathroom floor was suspiciously sticky. The room service was late and asked me to pay cash which I refused to do. I came back to my room unexpectedly during the day to find my door blocked open by the trash can. Apparently, the maid who was seven doors down did not think it was a big, but I had a laptop and jewelries in my room so I had reasons to be disturbed by that.

I am somewhat likely to return to the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel.
I would not recommend it to friends.

I stayed here on the hotel's National Zoo's 'Panda Package'. It was an excellent value for the money. It's a very large hotel but it didn't feel overpoweringly too big. (The older Wardman wing is lovely.)

The Woodley Park metro stop is right at the end of the driveway. This is on the red line. The zoo is a quick 5-10 minute walk, and a pleasant walk on Connecticut Avenue. There is a Starbucks in the hotel lobby and a nice pub-style bar, I had a good bowl of chili there.

I have a comfortable room on the 8th floor with a great view, I could see the Washington Monument and the Capitol. Downtown is a quick ride on the metro, with only one line change.

I am very likely to return to the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

I love everything about this hotel, except that it practically bankrupts us every time we stay there. I wish there were more 'Specials' at the Wardman Park Marriott. If this were so, we would visit D.C. more often and stay there. I love Woodley.

I am very likely to return to the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

Marriott Wardman is located near the metro, making tourist travel easy. The staff was very helpful in all areas. I attended a conference there and plan to attend future conferences there. I have also gone back for a vacation because of its location and proximity to Washington DC.
