The bar and the restaurant were very nice but expensive. The food tasted great but the air conditioning was too cold.

I asked for a room near the pool when the reservation was made months in advance. I emphasized that request when the hotel contacted me via email a couple of weeks prior to my stay. I was not given a room near the pool.

Close to chicago subway. Stayed 9/8/06; Congested driving around hotel. Very expensive parking, even for guests. All non-smoking now. Very small gift shop. Rooms just OK. Subway to O'Hare or to downtown very close. A long walk across a large parking lot, then up 50 stairs or by elevator, sky bridge to blue line cumberland station. $2 tickets. 10 min ride to airport, 50 min ride to the loop downtown. Trains every 10 minutes or so. Kind of a pricy hotel for what you get. Nicer options available within 1/2 mile.

The Chicago Marriott O'Hare is by far the best of the best. The Hotel is a little outdated but the staff is exceptional! The Guest Relations Manager at this Hotel is always running around and assisting guests proactively. He, along with the Bellstaff, make sure that all of the guests are welcomed to the Hotel and all questions are answered immediately. There is a charge for the internet and parking but I am willing to spend a couple of extra dollars to experience great service.

I liked the friendly staff and the comfortable beds.
