Hotel Review

The Hilton Head hotel is beautiful, and the Marriot's hotels are exceptional in their decor, ambiance, friendliness of staff, and knowledge of the area. They have done a great job of building facilities all over the island that blend in and do not disturb the local wildlife and wetlands. We used the exercise facility, took yoga classes, and enjoyed the place very much. I would go back and would urge others to do the same.
This hotel made me feel content: We felt at home in the condominium. It had everything we needed except wine and food. The view was beautiful and other than being chilly, the walks on the beach were superb. We had wireless hookup for the laptop, washer and dryer in the condominium, and daily maid service. We had just spent four weeks in Key West, very relaxing but with a lot more going on.

The best thing about this hotel was a certain female staff member. She went above and beyond for my children and was a pleasure!

14 year old female with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
After a long day of traveling, my family and I had finally reached this resort and were definitely ready for a relaxing evening. We had to connecting rooms and we were all looking forward to relaxing in the bathtub. To our dismay, we only found that one of these two rooms had a bathtub. No hotel that we had ever stayed at had only had a shower and this was definitely an unpleasant surprise to us, especially since we were staying at a resort.
Upon talking to the manager, who finally helped us find to rooms with bathtubs the next day, we also learned that unlike the website states that the whole hotel was not recently renovated. Only the south tower of the hotel had been renovated, which was very misleading to us, as I sure it had been to many other people. Other than that, we had a great stay here. The beds were fabulous and if you’re looking for an outstanding ocean view, the ocean front room is gorgeous. The beach was also very well kept, but it took a little while to get past the let down of the whole bathtub incident and the false information the website had provided to us. But the staff at this resort was great, everyone was always friendly and very willing to help which made are stay more enjoyable.
The location of the hotel itself was terrific.

Marriott poor customer service

I stayed at the Marriott Golf and Beach Resort July 1-8, 2006. The resort, in its hey day, was an excellent property. However, now it is in need of major renovations and customer service improvements. I called the front desk on three different days to get basic towels, wash cloth, and bath mats with little or no response. When I left, management came out to my car to apologize. To date, I have had no further comment from them.

I did not like that we had to pay for wireless Internet. That's bad business.

This hotel is in a nice location, and the people were accommodating after some duress. We had a mix up with our room; we had to insist on a two-bed room and finally got one instead of a couch and bed. I would probably return in the future and make sure our rooms are exact prior to arriving. The breakfast bar was commendable!
