This is a large Marriott with a huge, 16 story atrium and glass elevators. I heard the hotel previously was run-down, but it was recently renovated and the changes certainly show.
Aside from a small bathroom, our room was nicely appointed and even had a flat-panel TV - something unexpected in a Marriott. The rooms were very quiet and dark, so we slept well.
The pool was very pleasant to get some sun, and have a drink, and the workout room was modernized and uncrowded. The lobby even had a Starbucks in it.
The hotel is well located near the I-85, and parking was a breeze and free.
On the downside, the TV's audio was horrible (someone must have blew out the speakers), there was a soapy smell in our room, and the Starbucks actually ran out of coffee the morning we left! I also hated spending $12.95/day for web access.
Overall, it was a nice place to stay and an above average Marriott experience.
