Would have been nice if they would have told me about the construction going on while staying there. Very loud and lots of construction workers in and out of the hotel.

Hotel was fine, room adequate for the rate. It was relatively clean, staff was attendant. Moroccan motif for the Bar/lounge is interesting. I think that it doesn't have an elevator, but if you are not carrying too much luggage that is not a problem. Location is convenient, entrance to subway is less than 100 yards from front door, very near Columbia University and its constellation of restaurants, bars and stores. I would stay again.

This hotel was really a disappointment. The lobby looked really cute but that's about it. The hotel is really far from all the tourist attraction and is dishonest on their website when they say it is 1/2 mile from Times Sqaure (it's 50 blocks away). The stairways and hallways were dark, stinky, and dirty. The room was tiny and smelled bad too. I would definitely recommend dtaying in a hostel for much cheaper b/c they will be better located, cleaner, and definitely cheaper. Don't be fooled by this hotel's fallacious website.
