Welcome to Key Wests finest small hotel set in the center of the historic district. A compound of four buildings set around a lush interior garden and two swimming pools, the Marquesa offers a quiet retreat for those wanting luxury and privacy. The transformation from 1884 conch houses to beautifully restored rooms and suites with marble baths and all amenities has brought the Marquesa many awards, including the AAA 4-Diamond award for 18 consecutive years. The Marquesa has been named an Orvis-Endorsed Lodge, for 2007. Our location is perfect for exploring Key West - just one block from Duval Street, four blocks from Mallory Square and the Gulf of Mexico, and a mile from the Atlantic Ocean. A car is not necessary - it is all within walking distance. We do, however, offer free off-street parking if you drive to Key West. Our guest rooms will enchant you. They are immaculate, light and airy, equipped with all amenities to make you feel at home-only more pampered. In the evening your bed will be turned down, fresh towels put in place, a Godiva chocolate on your pillow to savor. In the morning, for a nominal charge, we will bring a continental breakfast to your room or serve it to you in our poolside garden with the sounds of a sparkling fountain and trickling waterfall in the background. If you must stay in touch, we offer two DSL computer workstations for guests and WIFI throughout the property for those with equipped laptops. We welcome children age 14 or older. Children 13 and under not permitted. Sorry, pets are not accepted. Smoking is permitted outdoors only, but not in the guest rooms.

Mediocre
They do not care if you have been a loyal customer for 14 years. There are no incentives to stay with them over and over again. Not even a bottle of wine after all this time! All they ask you when you check in is "have you stayed with us...

Horrible
Boy, what an experience to forget! We adore Key West but our experience at the Marquesa can only be described as a comedy of errors, a real episode of Fawlty Towers and trust me, if you’re looking for service (I mean ANY service!), look elsewhere!...
This is a hotel with a bed and breakfast feel that treats you like a home guest from the moment you arrive, without being obtrusive. My wife is a clean freak after watching to many Oprah shows and this was one of the cleanest and well kept...
Very nice hotel, 2 room suite, nice private balconies for those of us that still smoke. Very helpful staff.Very close to everything, we could walk to everthing! Beautiful rooms very very clean,Couldnt get over how nice and relaxing the rooms were....

I loved staying at the Marquesa Hotel. I was there on business but made arrangements to return for personal time six months later. It is very serene and had beautiful foliage surrounding their two pools. I would recommend this hotel and the restaurant to anyone traveling to Key West.
When entering the lobby of this hotel we were greeted with friendly, lovely faces, welcoming us for our stay. We entered our rooms to a fresh smell. (very important) The overall stay was a vacation.
