This is a great renovated hotel overlooking the Illinois River in downtown Peoria with easily accessible parking. Unfortunately, my "deluxe room" was filled with critters with 6 legs (ants) and in the morning around 9am there was no hot water for a shower.......The room was otherwise great, comfortable bed, great shower the first day with hot water....

This place is wonderful. It is very quaint yet luxurious. We had a great view of the river and bridge. We enjoyed the DVD player and surround sound. The room was very clean and had every amenity wanted and needed. The staff was very friendly. The two drink tickets a day and breakfast were great. I have not enjoyed past trips to Peoria due to the unsatisfactory hotels. On any return trips I make to Peoria, this is the hotel where I will be staying. It was a fantastic experience.

The room was not as clean as it should have been, there was dust and dirt under beds, for example, and the bathroom smelled of something, perhaps cleaning solution? The shower was cheaply built. The level of service is low. The decor is borderline shabby. It's not up to the standard I expect for a business hotel.
