The Maples Inn, a Bar Harbor Maine Bed and Breakfast, will offer you the feeling of being a resident of Bar Harbor at the turn of the century. Come and enjoy the simpler life of another time and leave the stress and care of today's world behind.
Built in 1903, the Inn originally housed the wealthy summer visitors to Mount Desert Island. It is located on an attractive residential, tree-lined street. You'll be away from the traffic of busy Bar Harbor, yet within walking distance of quaint boutiques, intimate restaurants, and the surrounding sea.
Acadia National Park, just five minutes away, offers a year round wilderness playground. Come and watch the breathtaking sunset from atop Cadillac Mountain or the crashing waves at Schooner Head. We'll be happy to assist in planning your days on our island.
A hearty breakfast is served each morning in the bright and sunny dining room. Your palate will be treated to gourmet delights and you'll have the opportunity to engage in good conversation with other Inn guests. Afternoon refreshments are served on the front porch in summer and in front of a cozy fire in winter.

Excellent
We stayed here October 2006 and it was the highlight of our trip! The host was gracious and extremely helpful, the food was great and the room immaculate. After touring the village, I can't imagine staying anywhere else.
We can't wait for things to change.
