this was a great stopover on a 1700 mile trip between new orleans and maine - hmm, a cozy room in a very pleasant bed and breakfast downtown with an eclectic selection of restuarants nearby or a generic motel off the interstate with variety of...

Excellent
We have stayed with at the Maplehurst several times over the past 22 years. Under Sonny's management the service and value have sky rocketed. Recently Sonny hosted our daughter's 14 birthday at the Maplehurst. It couldn't have turned out better....

I've stayed at B&B's before and this was absolutely repulsive. Hair (not our's) was on the vanity along with old toothpaste and water drool. The glasses were just as stained. The shower fixtures were falling out of the tub and we stood in...

Mediocre
This was the most filthy, cluttered establishment I have ever stayed at. There was an extensive amount of dust on the furniture, the sink was caked in prior guests' toothpaste and there were water drippings down the vanity. Hair was on the sink...
The Maplehurst Inn is by far the WORST place I have ever slept in, in my entire life! The beds were horrible- very uncomfortable, hard, and I got NO sleep. Not to mention, the breakfast they serve you consists of cereal that has been sitting out for god knows how long, toast, and the most DISGUSTING breakfast casserole (which will leave you running to the bathroom every ten minutes). Oh, and also there were ants EVERYWHERE and the room was in such bad shape that the wallpaper was peeling off of the walls!!! Do yourself a favor... Pay some extra money to actually be able to sleep at night... and I promise you, if you find somewhere that serves a complimentary breakfast, it will be SO much better for you and your stomach, and whoever your travel partner is.
