male with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure
I made a reservation via e-mail with this motel on August 13, 2009 for 2 nights in October, 2009 in order to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary. My wife, who is 21 weeks pregnant had been suffering from awful morning sickness and we decided to cancel. Being mindful of their 10 day cancellation policy, I replied to the original confirmation e-mail on September 9, 2009 some 5 weeks in advance. Over the weekend, I received several e-mails and voice mails which became more rude in their character stating I was responsible for the weekend. I have replied to them via fax and e-mail, yet they have charged me for a night. I have also contacted the Better Business Bureau about this. Do not do business with this place.

We found this jewel of a motel by going into a gallery in town; lucky us! Motel is the wrong word for it. It should be called Hometel. The staff was friendly, the rooms were nothing fancy but large and clean, the motel was charming and best of all, the yard in the back that faced a sloping hill with large trees and horses on it. We sat by the pool and ate our picnic dinner, which we bought at the Wild Oats just down the street. We felt like we were truly on vacation in a tranquil place.
And then in the morning, we ate breakfast on a picnic bench under a weeping willow (I think). The breakfast was the only thing that was lacking in our wonderful experience.
