At this hotel five star mean they will charge you for everything. The hotel is situated next to an active railroad. I was on the seventh floor but was unable to sleep due to the number of trains that pass the building every night. Our view from the seventh floor was over a parking lot, and not a very nice parking lot, this was the type of parking lot where you would expect the local drug dealers to visit, and on occasion I was able to witness what look just like that type of transaction.
The room had the typical beds, desk and dresser and minibar. The TV if you can call it that was a computer based video system that would either lockup, or simply not respond. It was running a version of Window. I know this because of the familure blue error screen that always shows up.
Internet access is expensive to say the least, but the speed does not justify the price. Be careful when selecting internet access. You can use either the TV, (good luck with that), or dirrectly connect you laptopn via the supplied ethernet connection at the desk. They will bill you two different rates depending on which you choose, so choose wisely.
Don't expect any privacy in the bathroom either. There are no locks on the bathroom door. Some people don't have a problem with this, but I do.
The turndown service for what its worth will turn down you bed for you and fill the ice bucket. The about of ice they leave will fill on glass. If you want more ice call room service, (they love getting tips).
As a coffee drinker, I enjoy waking up and making my own coffee, but this hotel does not supply a coffe maker in the room. They do offer complimentary coffee in the lobby, but it wasn't that good. The best part was they there was a starbucks across the street.
If you have kids, forget the resurants in the hotel. They pawn one off as American food with an oriental twist, its not. Sure they have a hamburger, but, I kid you not, it is 1.5" wide. I walked out more hungry then when I walked in.
The other resturant will cost you from $75 to $100 per person, and I have had better food at Wendy's. I walked out of their feeling scammed.
I have stayed in many hotels in my life, and you would do better to find a 3 or 4 star hotel. The cost is better, the service is the same, and I don't think any other hotel would have as bad a location as this. If you like trains, go for it.
