Located in the financial district, this luxurious and elegant hotel is an oasis for the mind and nerves amidst the hustle and noise of the financial center. The décor of the lobby and guest rooms is an understated mix of Asian and art deco, which was immediately pleasing. It’s probably the nicest hotel I have ever been in, actually.
The king sized bed is not only extremely comfortable and oversized, but elevated to the perfect level - I could see the bay view from lying down! One nice touch is the binoculars in each room, we used those all the time. The best part of using the binoculars is being able to see your destination in person on the streets, a short walk later, and the places we visited were the Transamerica Pyramid, Jackson Square, and the Yerba Buena Gardens.
The Deluxe King room is quite large and spacious (450 square feet) and I wouldn’t mind this size bedroom at home one bit!
The restaurant in the hotel, Silks, offers a fantastic menu of modern Asian inspired delicacies, and is apparently considered one of the city’s finest restaurants. It’s also not cheap by any means, but it’s worth the steep price.
