I had a fabulous time at the Mandalay Bay. Me and my buddy shared a 2 room suite and it was very nice. We were there for a formal and we each brought dates. The rooms were at the opposite ends of the room and shared a large living room and good size dinner room/bar. The bathroom was spacious with a shower and a seperate jacuzzi tub. I had a great time and there is so much to do at the hotel. We visited the the aquarium, which was very nice, with a lot of cool animals. The pool is also a lot of fun, from the lazy river, to the wave pool, fun all around. We had dinner at Red Square. It was nice but a little pricey. Great time in vegas.

Having booked the Mandalay tower, the upgrade to the hotel was a great surprise. Getting into the room only made it better. They have thought of everything; two room suite, two huge flat-panel TVs, TV in the bathroom, good movies on demand, great room service, good desk with plenty of power and even a converter for the British. There is a 1/2 bath off of the living room, and great linens and towels.

My first night I stayed in the room, I don't gamble, and watched "Legend of Ricky Bobby - Talladega Nights", ate a great burger, and drank a beer. Let me tell you, this is a great night for a dad with two small kids at home.

My only complaint, the windows have a ventilation system that allows "fresh" air in to the room. It also allows an enormous amount of noise in to the room.

The hotel was beautiful, but as with most Casinos, finding the front desk without using the valet upon arrival was a pain.

To me, it was a pretty typical room, not too many bells and whistles. Every restaurant in the hotel is seriously overpriced, make sure you bring your own snacks and drinks when staying here. Also, beware of opening the mini-bar, there is a sensor on it, and simply picking up something triggers an electronic charge to your hotel bill. The pool closes early at 6 p.m., which is extremely inconvenient, considering that this is supposed to be a "beachy" type resort.

Also, beware of the surcharge for using the gym/spa facility ($27 per day per person). If you are used to living a simple lifestyle, this may not be the place for you, as everything is overpriced. I felt like I was nickel and dimed to death!
