Arriving at the hotel from the airport I almost got hit by another taxi driver. It had no lanes to distinguish where taxis should drive. The bell man was great and took my bags immediately.

I got to the front desk and there was a small line of about eight people. There were five staff members with guests already. It took me about an hour and half to just check in.

The lady at the front desk was incredibly rude. When i got up to my room it was the wrong type of room I had reserved a single and had gotten a double.

I called the front desk at once to which they responded "So... what do you want me to do about it?" It was a horrible experience! The People are rude, the food is overpriced(thirty dollars for a burger),and the beach was closed.

The reason I decided to go to Vegas with my children was mainly so the children could enjoy the "beach", the canals and the pools at the resort during the daytime.

We arrived to the Hotel the beach, the canals and all pools but one were closed. We were told by the reception clerks that it just got closed due to weather conditions and that it was written down on the website. Well, maybe it was on the web site that very same say we arrived BUT nobody told us about this when we booked.

We should have been told that these recreational areas for children may close due to whatever reason you want say. Why nothing was written down on your web site? so people like us with kids book thinking they are going to have a great time with the kids? and believe me, we found several families just like us, complaining about the closure of your facilities and not being able to do anything with the children.

Please don't do this to other families. Let them know that the beach is not open so they know about it.

That was my first disappointment with your hotel. The second came the day after when we left the room early in the morning to go to the Circus Circus arcades and rides for the children and when we came back at 4:30 the room was still not done. I called bookkeeping and they told me we had a sign on the door which of course we did not. Anyways, they told us they would send somebody right away, so we left the room so they could clean. We came back at 8 PM and still the room was not done. We called again, nobody knew what has happened, they send somebody but at this point we did not leave the room we just wanted new towels. Thank you.

The third disappointment: We were told by 2 people, security and reservations, the pool, the only pool, was opened until 6 PM on Thanksgiving day, so we hurried with the kids at around 4 PM to get them ready, we arrive at the pool with another family and we are told the pool is closing at 4 PM; we tell them that we have been told it would be open until 6, etc. etc.. it does not matter we are send back.

Traveler with Children BE AWARE - Mandalay Bay is NOT for children and the customer service stinks!

We got an upgrade to a 750sq ft room, with two plasma tv's and a hot tub in the bathroom. The hotel is beautiful.

Everything was great but it was after 11:00 p.m. and we just came back from the strip. He had not eaten anything and figured we would grab a sandwitch back at Mandalay Bay. There wasn't a place open for us to get a small something to eat. I thought that was very bad!

The hotel was beautiful. I loved the pool, and the spa area. The food restaurants are excellent.
