It's a great place to stay with all you need right there.

This hotel made me feel comfortable: They were friendly and willing to serve.

I am very likely to return to the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

40 year old woman with a economy budget, traveling for leisure

It seemed more like a family hotel, there didn't seem to be any excitement about the place. The pool was cool, if that's what you're flying to Las Vegas and paying all that money for. It was far away from Las Vegas, I felt like I was in the country. My advice for tourists is if you want to get away for a quiet Las Vegas experience, sounds like that should be an oxymoron, this is the place to be, well except for screaming kids. If you want to have fun, stay at an older place in a better location. Or even a not as great location but with a more vibrant clientele.

This hotel made me feel relaxed: It was a hotel that seemed like a ghost town at night.

I am not likely to return to the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino.
I would not recommend it to friends.

They had a very nice pool. The Sunday brunch buffet was one of the best in Las Vegas. The rooms are large and comfortable.

35 year old woman with a moderate budget, traveling for business

The location on the Strip is a bit further down than expected, and we had to walk or take the tram quite a bit to get to the middle of the Strip. The cost per night at the hotel was high, and I expected the gym to be available without extra cost, but it was an extra thirty dollars per person per day, which we didn't end up spending. I loved the pool area and the lazy lagoon, again, I felt like the price for renting an inner tube was ridiculous, but I guess I'm not used to Las Vegas prices. We spent over five hundred dollars for two people to eat for one week which I thought was incredible. We probably won't go back to Las Vegas for a vacation ever again, this trip was for a conference.

I am not likely to return to the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino.
I would not recommend it to friends.

I honestly think the hotel is over rated. The room was okay, but the plumbing was poor and the hair dryer did not work at all. I called the front desk about the hair dryer and they said that they were sending a replacement right up. The replacement hair dryer was never delivered and we waited approximately one and a half hours. I wrote a letter to the housekeeping staff who replaced the hair dryer the next day. It is my opinion that the hotel is definitely over rated and over priced. Even the pools were dirty.

The room was very dirty and so was the carpeting. Dirty glasses that we had used were just left in the sink, unwashed and not replaced. Our second night, the maid did not bother putting on pillowcases and said that the hotel had run out. They did not leave enough towels in the bathroom, they only left a rug in front of the shower one time.

The wave at the wave pool should have been larger in size and more frequent. The pool hours are too short and the waitress took my drink from the beach when she was cleaning up at the end of the day. I confronted her and she said she would replace it. She never returned and I searched for her for about fifteen minutes. Besides this bad experience I would recommend the hotel, just make sure you keep an eye on your cocktails.

The hotel was nice. It's rather like a maze, so it takes a little while to get acquainted with the layout. Until then, you will need to follow your nose. They had one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept on.

This hotel made me feel elegant: There was so much extravagance. They had large rooms and a well-dressed staff.

For the most part I had a wonderful time. My only complaint is the waiting staff in the casino. They were very rude and not friendly at all. One waitress stood behind me until I gave her a tip. This was after I gave her a great tip the drink before.

It was a very nice experience overall. It was perfect for the needs of the vacationers. I was a bit disappointed that the pools were not up and running. I thought that this should have been mentioned at the time of booking.

If you're going to stay in Vegas and are looking to have a fun time, you can't really do much better the THEhotel. Why? Because if you're young, hot and have nothing but money and time to spend it, you need to stay here. I like Mandalay Bay the original hotel itself, so I knew that I would love it here. They seem to cater to the Paris, Nicoles and Mischa's of the world, which is not necessarily a bad thing. It's close to the airport, and at the end of the Strip (if you're looking to be within walking distance of the other hotel/casinos, you might not be happy about this fact). From the time we arrived, we were treated as if we were of the Paris/Nicole ilk, which is nice since we're not famous. My best friend and I just wanted to go away and have a girls' weekend and be treated like the aforementioned stars, and we were. Everything is dripping with luxury and screams money here (which it should, for the cost), but it wasn't old fogey-type luxury, it was evidently designed for the younger moneyed set (there are plasma TVs in the wall in the bathroom, for example). Everything is very sleek and modern and we loved it. Suites are nothing new in Las Vegas, but we loved and appreciated the space (a lot of room to hang out and just be girls). We loved not having to really leave the property for anything that we wanted since we had 24 hour food available, and plenty to entertain ourselves with. We are already preparing to bring in 2007 here.

I am very likely to return to the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.
