Eventually, two brothers, Clarence and Milton Dupuy, purchased the site and transformed seven town homes into their magnificent family residence. The Maison Dupuy, or "House of Dupuy," soon became the most elegant housing in the French Quarter, and continues to maintain the largest and most beautiful courtyard in the Vieux Carre.
